Over the past 365 days, in comparison to his positional peers outside of Europe’s top five leagues, he ranks within the top 10% for assists per 90, shot-creating actions per 90, progressive carries per 90, and successful take-ons per 90.

His form has generated huge acclaim from former PSV manager and Manchester United Ruud van Nistelrooy, who said: “He is so dominant. He’s a boy who, if he continues to invest in what he’s doing now, hopefully at the end of the season can make a nice step towards first. He’s worked hard on multiple facets of his game, and that’s showing through now. Maintaining this level in the longer term is his goal.”

Bakayoko has seemingly fulfilled his target and looks set to embark on a new challenge.

In the club’s season opener against Manchester City, Luca Koleosho began in that position but failed to make any meaningful impact. In 61 minutes, the attacker failed to record any accurate long balls and crosses or forge any successful dribbles, as Burnley were defeated 3-0 by the reigning European champions.

Of course, it is hard to judge a player in these circumstances on his Premier League debut against the most elite opposition. However, to place a large portion of trust with less than ten senior appearances to his name is extremely risky, and the club could clearly benefit from the arrival of an exciting prospect such as Bakayoko. Indeed, he would surely represent a big upgrade.

There is little doubt that Tottenham Hotspur are in need of some added firepower before the end of the summer transfer window at the start of next month.

Of course, there is no guarantee that he will be able to develop to the point where is able to sustain that over the course of an entire Premier League campaign, but the scope is clearly there for him to turn into a lethal centre-forward.

This could make the teenage ace, who was once described as "incredibly prolific" by Jacek Kulig, a superb partner for Son if he is able to fulfill his potential.

The Spurs skipper has hit double figures for goals in each of the last seven Premier League seasons and won the Golden Boot with 23 strikes during the 2021/22 campaign.

He has also racked up 36 assists over the last four top-flight terms combined and led the club in key passes per game in each of the last three seasons, which shows that the South Korea international carries a significant threat as both a scorer and a creator of goals.

These statistics suggest that Son is an outstanding creative talent who could form an excellent link-up with Ferguson to provide the Irish marksman with plenty of chances in front of goal to hit the ground running in north London.

Kane and Son hold the record for the most joint-goal involvements in Premier League history and this shows that the ex-Bayer Leverkusen star is capable of thriving alongside an excellent number nine, which could be the case with the £120m-rated starlet.

According to French publication Nice-Marin – via Sport Witness – Nice have made their financial demands for the sale of Todibo following 'recurring' stories regarding Newcastle's interest in the 23-year-old.

The Frenchman has impressed of late after a challenging start to life with Les Aiglons, and Newcastle are keen admirers, with Premier League rivals Aston Villa and West Ham United also vying for his services.

The Ligue 1 outfit do not want to sell but are said to have placed a €40-50m (£34-43m) price tag on his name, and it's now up to Magpies technical director Dan Ashworth to negotiate a move after making initial contact.

Despite emphatically securing Champions League qualification last season and completing the 22/23 league campaign with the English top-flight's joint-best defence – conceding 33 goals alongside Manchester City – Newcastle are still hoping to bolster their backline.

Having been called an "absolute monster" by teammate Luke Shaw too, Howe might be wise to secure a similar profile in Todibo and rival Erik ten Hag's side in the defensive department.

Newcastle would only benefit from adding a new dimension to their already well-oiled defensive third, and it is a move that Howe must seriously consider, ensuring that progress does not stagnate this season.

Chelsea are interested in acquiring the services of Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer, according to a fresh transfer rumour.

Who is Sergej Milinkovic-Savic?

The 28-year-old has been arguably one of Serie A's outstanding midfielders in recent years, standing out as a dominant presence for Lazio in the middle of the park. The £75,000-a-week star has now scored 69 goals and registered 59 assists for the Italian giants, coming in a total of 341 appearances, and he is also a 43-cap Serbia international, catching the eye at international level as well.

Milinkovic-Savic is a player who is right at the peak of his powers, and while Lazio will no doubt be desperate to keep hold of arguably their most prized asset, he is out of contract there next summer, at which point he would be allowed to leave on a free transfer, acting as a blow to them.

That situation could force them to sell him before the start of the 2023/24, considering this would be the last chance for them to receive a good amount of money for his signature.

Chelsea continue to look hard at new signings, with Real Madrid star Federico Valverde the latest to be player to be linked with a move to Stamford Bridge – Moises Caicedo looks like the top Blues target currently – and it could be that they make a move for Milinkovic-Savic too.

Are Chelsea signing Milinkovic-Savic?

That's according to Il Tempo [via Sport Witness], who claim that Milinkovic-Savid has been offered to "half of Europe" by his agent, former Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman, but Lazio "won’t go below €30m (£25.7m)" when it comes to his price tag.

The Blues "have shown interest" in signing the Lazio ace, even though they are pursuing "other negotiations" currently, with the current situation believed to be "driving his fans crazy".

Milinkovic-Savic could be a fantastic option for Chelsea this summer, especially as it looks as though he could even be available on a cut-price deal. He is now a very experienced footballer, but still someone who is in the best years of his career, and his physical style means to could make a seamless move from Serie A to the Premier League.

He has been hailed as "one of the best" by ex-Blues manager Maurizio Sarri, who went on to add that he "really is a complete player with great quality", and his aforementioned goal and assist tally outlines the end product he could bring to Chelsea's midfield.

Last season, Conor Gallagher was the Blues' top-scoring central midfielder with just three goals in the Premier League, showing how goal-shy they were in the middle of the park, so Milinkovic-Savic could be such an attacking upgrade in that area of the pitch.

At 28, there is an argument to say that Mauricio Pochettino may possibly want to sign younger options, given the fact that the Serbian is only actually a year younger than Kovacic, but Chelsea should be able to get three or four years out of him before his peak years potentially drift by.

That's according to journalist Sami Mokbel who, writing for the Daily Mail, suggested in an article that ex-Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira had emerged as a serious contender to take over from Sam Allardyce at Elland Road despite others remaining in the frame.

Daniel Farke and Scott Parker are both referenced, and yet it is the Frenchman who is reportedly well-admired in Yorkshire, with talks planned for the coming days.

The 46-year-old head coach has been out of work since his dismissal in March, but seems raring to return to management according to reports in France.

Would Patrick Vieira suit Leeds United?

A drop down to the Championship could prove the perfect platform to rebuild a budding career, as the 49ers seek to instil a winning mentality in this fragile squad. Given his playing days, there are arguably few better placed to disseminate such ideals.

Although last term turned into something of a disaster for the former Arsenal midfielder, having failed to win in 11 before his sacking, his work the season prior must be remembered when measuring how successful Vieira could be in Leeds.

According to Football Insider, the Hoops have made West Ham United head coach David Moyes their number one target to take over at Parkhead next season.

The report claims that the club are preparing a swoop to snap the Scotsman up after their last boss moved down south to join Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month.

Majority shareholder Dermot Desmond is now looking for the Australian's heir and has identified the Hammers chief as an option, as the Scottish giants want someone who can make an impact in Europe after Brendan Rodgers and Postecoglou both struggled in continental competitions.

What is David Moyes' record in Europe?

The 60-year-old has an impressive record in European matches in recent seasons and secured his name in his history books by winning the Europa Conference League with West Ham last week.

Moyes, who reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League with Manchester United in 2013/14, made it to the semi-finals of the Europa League in 2021/22 with the Hammers before going all the way to win a trophy this term.

He has won an impressive 18 of his 25 European games in charge of the London-based club, losing four in that time, suggesting that the tactician, who won eight of his 14 UEFA Cup outings with Everton, knows how to get results outside of domestic action.

The Scottish tinkerer, who was once dubbed a "fantastic" coach by ex-United forward Robin van Persie, has proven that he can excel in European competitions and take teams into the latter stages, which is something that has eluded the Hoops for some time.

Celtic have not reached the quarter-finals of any tournament outside of Scotland since they reached the last eight of the UEFA Cup in the 2003/04 campaign.

Postecoglou won three of his 12 Europa League and Champions League group-stage matches combined and did not win a single knockout match during his two years at the club.

Manchester United have been named as one of the teams that could sign Federico Chiesa this summer, according to a report from Corriere dello Sport (via TEAMtalk).

Who are Man United signing this summer?

The winger has struggled for game time with Juventus due to injury and has subsequently managed only 21 Serie A appearances, with just six starts. Still, despite the lack of action, the player was still able to bag two goals and five assists along the way – a total that bettered his amounts from last season.

In addition, the former Fiorentina man has still been able to stand out as one of the best in his position across the men's top 5 leagues over the course of the year.

With a rate of 0.42 assists per 90 for example, it puts him amongst the top 4% in his role. In addition to that, his injury hasn't led to him losing any defensive drive, either, with the player completing 1.98 tackles per 90, putting him in the 87th percentile in that area.

However, despite a moderately successful year for the player individually, it looks as though he could be on the move – and potentially on his way to the Premier League.

It has been suggested that Man United could be one of the teams that makes an offer for the player this summer. It appears as though Chiesa himself could fancy a move away from Juventus, and the report relayed by TEAMtalk lists United as one of the potential landing spots for him.

As of yet though, no bid or offer has been made, but it appears as though he may still be on the radar of the Red Devils. If they do decide to make a move, it appears that it may only require a fee of around £30m, according to the same report.

Is Federico Chiesa moving to Man United?

If the club did opt to try and bring in the winger this summer, it could be a good move by the club. When fit and able to play regularly, he has tended to reward his teams with plenty of goal contributions.

When he has played 30 or more times for a team in the league, his goal contribution tallies over the course of his career read as 10, 9, 16 and 16. That points to a player who is able to both score and set up his teammates, as long as you give him the minutes to do so on the field.

In addition, football journalist Josh Bunting has also praised the winger in the past, stating that he is an "important" and "promising" player for his club. He's therefore impressed those in the media with his abilities and suggests that if United did decide to make an official bid for Chiesa, he could – provided that he stays fit – add more goals to their forward line, which is something the club need next season.
