Gareth Roderick gave another demonstration of his batting talent with a second first-class century as Gloucestershire comfortably batted out for a draw on the final day against Essex at Bristol.The young South African wicketkeeper top scored with 136 as the home side, set 432 for victory, closed on 355 for 6. Skipper Michael Klinger hit 62 and shared a second wicket stand of 137 with Roderick, who also hit a ton in the previous game against Kent.Monty Panesar ended any hope the hosts had of reaching their mammoth target by removing Klinger and Alex Gidman, and finished with 2 for 56 from 25 overs, while Reece Topley claimed 3 for 70. But the result did little for the fading promotion hopes of either club as Essex took 11 points and Gloucestershire eight.The home side began the day on 19 without loss, needing an unlikely 413 more runs for victory. Chris Dent soon signalled their positive intentions as a top-edged pull sailed for six in the opening over from Topley.Klinger survived an lbw appeal from Topley early on, but was soon flourishing and, on 21, reached 1,000 first class runs in his first full season of county cricket. By then Dent had departed for 27, with the total on 43, leg before to Topley off the final delivery of an excellent over from the left-arm seamer.After Essex had turned to spin in the shape of Panesar at one end and Greg Smith at the other Klinger launched the second six of the innings, straight back over Smith’s head.Roderick helped his captain take the score to 115 for one at lunch, with all three results still possible and both sides needing a win to keep alive genuine promotion hopes. Roderick was the first to reach his 50 off 76 balls, with seven fours. Klinger followed after facing 147 deliveries, with three fours and a six.The pair had taken the total to 180 in the 58th over when Panasar parted them by bowling Klinger, who had defied the Essex attack for three hours and 20 minutes. Alex Gidman quickly went on the attack, but had made only 9 when stumped by James Foster off Panesar with the total on 196.It was 212 for 3 at tea, with Gloucestershire having abandoned the bid for a win. The second new ball was Essex’s last hope, but by the time it was taken Gloucestershire were 294 for 3 with Hamish Marshall established as Roderick’s partner.Three late wickets did fall, but Roderick, who was dropped off a no-ball on 79 and then received a blow to the head by a delivery from Tymal Mills, reached a gutsy hundred off 157 balls, with 14 fours.
كشفت صحيفة “Ekstra Bladet” الدنماركية أن رحيل إمام عاشور عن الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي ميتلاند أصبح حتميًا في الأيام القليلة المقبلة.
وكان هناك الكثير من الغموض حول مستقبل عاشور مع الفريق الدنماركي، إلا أن التقرير يؤكد أن الأزمة سيتم حلها لأن هناك مفاوضات تتم في الوقت الحالي على رحيل اللاعب.
وأكدت الصحيفة أن ميتلاند سيوافق على رحيل إمام عاشور لصالح الأهلي، رغم أنه كانت النية هي الإبقاء على اللاعب لكن الأخير لم يرغب في الاستمرار بالدنمارك.

وأفاد التقرير أن إمام عاشور ووكيله كانا يعملان من أجل تسريع عملية الانتقال في الفترة الماضية، في ظل تجاهل اللاعب لخطابات ناديه الدنماركي من أجل العودة إلى التدريبات في فترة الإعداد قبل الموسم الجديد.
بعد موقف عاشور من عدم السفر إلى الدنمارك، أصبح لا بديل أمام ميتلاند سوى الموافقة على المفاوضات بشأن مستقبل اللاعب ولهذا الرحيل أصبح قريبًا من أي وقت مضى.
وفضل إمام عاشور الاستمرار في مصر بدلًا من السفر إلى الدنمارك مرة أخرى، بعد أن وافق ميتلاند في منتصف الدور الثاني من الموسم الماضي على عودته إلى القاهرة لتلقي العلاج بعد إصابته وعدم استكماله الموسم تحت إشراف الجهاز الطبي لمنتخب مصر

وشارك النجم الفرنسي كيليان مبابي في تلك المباراة كبديل، حيث دفع به المدرب لويس إنريكي في الدقيقة 66.
وتمكن مبابي من تسجيل الهدف الثاني لباريس سان جيرمان، في الدقيقة الأولى من الوقت المحتسب بدلًَا من الضائع للشوط الثاني.
يُذكر أن باريس سان جيرمان سيواجه النصر السعودي يوم الثلاثاء المقبل، في مباراة ودية جديدة.

Cheteshwar Pujara, the India batsman, has rated his triple-century in Hubli as one of his best non-international innings. Upon reaching the landmark, he was elevated into an elite club of players who have hit three or more triples in their career, with only eight men before him having achieved this feat. More importantly, though, it came at a good clip, and gave India A enough time to bowl West Indies A out to share the three-match series 1-1.This was also a rare series in which Pujara hadn’t made a big contribution, until the last match. “It was one of the best innings in my domestic career because the wicket was doing a bit,” he said. “There was enough help for the fast bowlers. I didn’t get runs in the first two games. I never enjoy getting out. I really was frustrated because I felt that I was in good touch, but the runs were not coming. I would rate [this] as one of my best innings at the domestic level.”The three low scores might have frustrated Pujara, but there was always a feeling a turnaround was close. “I knew that there is a big one due but as a batsman, you never know. It is a matter of one ball,” Pujara said. “At times you go through a phase where you want to succeed but you might not. But it is very important as a batsman to be focused, and the important thing was I was working hard. Whenever you are in good form, the best way to come back is to work hard in the nets. That is what I was doing.”What is the secret to scoring triples, though? After all, there are many great batsmen who have gone through their careers without scoring one, let alone three. “It’s the hunger to score runs,” Pujara said. “I think for this particular success, the failure in the first two games motivated me a lot. The kind of expectations people have, from the kind of ability I have, I have to live up to the expectations. This was the right time because it was an important match for us and I always like to score big runs.”I always feel that when I cross the 100-mark, that’s when I can start playing my natural game. All the shots come very naturally, and I don’t have to put up any hard work or extra concentration because the rest of the things are all natural things, and I just go through the motions after I go through the hundred.”Does that mean that once the hundred is scored some pressure is lifted and it frees him up? “I think mentally I am very free once I score a hundred,” Pujara said, “because as a batsman, you know the conditions, the bowler and most of the time the bowlers are tired. So you just have to use your brain and capitalise on the loose balls. And you also know what time to accelerate and what time you have to respect the bowler.”Capitalising on tired bowlers is one thing, to overcome your own tiredness is quite another. “Obviously, when you score a triple-hundred, you need a lot of stamina,” Pujara said. “To be on the field for more than 10 hours is difficult, and you also have to field. So it’s not an easy job, but I have been working for the past three-four months on my fitness, which is paying off.”

Kyle Mills found himself facing a situation he wasn’t supposed to when he arrived in Bangladesh couple of weeks ago as part of the ODI side. With regular captain Brendon McCullum and vice-captain Kane Williamson having returned home with injury it was up to him, as stand-in captain, to preside over New Zealand’s second successive series drubbing at the hands of Bangladesh.There is still a Twenty20 game on November 6 but with the Tests and ODIs over, New Zealand are yet to win a game on tour. This was their biggest chance as they set the home side a target of 308, a total never chased in this country by this team. Mills thought so too, until the Bangladesh batting line-up started to string together partnerships.”I thought we had a total we could defend,” Mills said. “The opening batters for Bangladesh played well and took the game away from us. Our spinners did a good job to bring it back for us somewhat, but the start they got created huge momentum for them to chase the total down.”We are all very disappointed with the outcome of, not just today’s match but the whole series. To go down 3-0 is extremely disappointing. It wasn’t our plan when we came out here but we have to hand it to the Bangladesh side, they played exceptional cricket today.”Mills was incidentally the last man out when Bangladesh completed the 4-0 win three years ago, and the memories are fresh. He said that they knew how dangerous Bangladesh were at home but were not prepared for such a result now or then.”This one’s pretty fresh and raw. I got over the last one [in 2010], but it’s still very disappointing. The last series we came in with expectations of winning the series quite comfortably. The scars from that series set us up for this series.”We were quite wary of the Bangladesh side. They’ve got some very good players in these conditions, and you have to admire that. But we are going to take a number of positives, because there are positives over the last three games, moving forward into the Sri Lanka series and our home summer.”One of those positives which they can’t actually take to Sri Lanka would be Ross Taylor’s unbeaten 107 because the experienced batsman has been summoned back home to prepare for the New Zealand international summer. But a forceful 85 from Colin Munro and contributions from Tom Latham and Anton Devcich would still encourage them.”Ross Taylor’s innings today was a classy innings of an international cricket batsman. He crafted it beautifully. Latham played a hand, Colin Munro got an opportunity today and he grasped it, he played a magnificent knock.”Throughout the series I think Corey Anderson and Jimmy Neesham really stood up as well. Young guys standing up is a great sign for New Zealand cricket, and definitely moving forward over the next 15 months,” said Mills.One of New Zealand’s problems has been the absence of Daniel Vettori, the allrounder with vast experience and a strong record against Bangladesh. “We’ve missed Vettori over the last two-three years really. It’s great having Dan on the side. When Dan walks out with us in the eleven we are a better side for it, but many a series we have played without Daniel Vettori.”
