– A gente tem que analisar em que condições foram as finalizações. Hoje tivemos poucas boas chances. As finalizações de hoje não foram claras. Das 16, teve três ou quatro com chances de gol. Você gasta muita energia para transpor as linhas do Flamengo e, às vezes, você não tem o ângulo ideal.

Segundo os dados do Footstats, o São Paulo saiu do confronto nos dois jogos com 40 finalizações contra 15 do Rubro-Negro, mostrando intensidade, mas falha na hora de concluir as jogadas. Foram ainda 66 cruzamentos e 23 escanteios para os paulistas, ante 22 e nove para o adversário, respectivamente.

– Tivemos algumas finalizações em que poderíamos ter ajeitado melhor. Temos que escolher um pouco mais cedo ou dar um toque a mais para ter um melhor ângulo de finalização. No jogo do Morumbi a bola bateu no travessão, quicou na linha do gol e saiu. Hoje bateu na trave e saiu. Contra um time de tanta qualidade, quando a bola não entra, o preço chega.

Sobre o duelo desta quarta-feira (14), Ceni destacou os aspectos que considerou positivo no Tricolor.

– Acho que sem a bola fizemos um jogo muito bom, correndo riscos, com muito a mano de Diego Costa e Léo com Gabigol e Pedro. É a única maneira de tentar marcar o Flamengo um pouco à frente. E, mesmo assim, eles controlam a bola, time com muita qualidade técnica. Tivemos oportunidades, bola na trave, rebote com Calleri. Os primeiros minutos foram muito bons, mas talvez não tenha sido um jogo tão bom quanto foi o do Morumbi. Lá, sim, achei que merecíamos um placar melhor. Mas, o time competiu bem, marcou, se entregou, como sempre faz.

Revelado pela equipe piracicabana e, diante da representatividade desta final, o jogador analisa a importância que uma possível conquista teria para a sua carreira.

– Significa muito. Principalmente por estar sendo com a camisa do XV, o meu clube de formação. Onde eu cresci e vivenciei várias coisas. Aqui lutei bastante, tive ótimas fases e períodos de muita dificuldade. Hoje quando olho para trás vejo que todas as dificuldades serviram para que isso (chance de ser campeão) fosse construído e, assim, poder colher certas coisas agora. É um sentimento de grande felicidade – afirmou.

A final contra o Marília ganha ainda mais importância para Rubens por ser contra um clube que o atleta conhece muito bem. Por isso, o resultado positivo no confronto de ida, em casa, é crucial para ele.

– Particularmente eu conheço bem (a força do adversário) por ter passado pela base do Marília no Sub-17, então acredito que os cuidados são bem claros: entrar ligado no jogo e saber o time que a gente vai enfrentar. Vai ter dificuldade e dentro da dificuldade precisamos superar nós mesmos e o nosso adversário – disse antes de completar:

– Nós contamos com o apoio da nossa torcida dentro de casa para que a gente possa fazer um ótimo resultado. Acredito que fazer um bom resultado no primeiro jogo nos deixa em uma melhor situação. Afghanistan turn to careful cricket for unprecedented success

“I think it’s a case more of just being better all-around, and thinking more about your all-around game,” Trott said in Lucknow on Friday. “Afghanistan [players] naturally grow up playing a lot more T20 cricket than any other format, so the skills for T20 are there. It’s about adding to that sort of base of T20 skills. As you see, 50-over cricket is a long time and you have to be able to, I think, ride the sort of ebbs, and flows of a game.”While openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran have been scoring consistently, it hasn’t gone bust when they have not fired. In their previous game against Sri Lanka, Gurbaz fell for a four-ball duck but Rahmat Shah stepped up and had half-century stands with Ibrahim and Hashmatullah Shahidi, who in turn put on 111 with Azmatullah Omarzai to finish the chase.”The thing I’m really happy about from the last game is we lost a wicket in the first over and Rahmat Shah was able to go into No. 3 and soak up that pressure but still kept scoring at a good tempo,” Trott said. “That shows the ability to soak up pressure at times, what you have to do in 50-over cricket, but also then accelerate at certain times.”Rahmat Shah has been unfazed even when Afghanistan have lost an early wicket•AFP/Getty Images

Trott also stressed on the importance of the batters who are in to stay till the end and finish the job, especially while chasing.”I think when chasing those targets, we saw just what is possible if you have a good solid start and you have batsmen in the last ten overs,” he said. “That’s happened for us, but it’s also happened against us in games where it’s been difficult to stop the opposition with set batters in the last ten overs.”Having that sort of vision, knowing that you can score quickly towards the back end of games, I think that’s the pennies we’re starting to see drop with the players.”Afghanistan have managed to walk the talk, especially in their previous two games, against Pakistan and Sri Lanka where they chased down targets of 283 and 242 with ease.”Obviously, there’s a difference between talking about it and actually going out and doing it. And we’re seeing players go out and do it now,” Trott said. “We’ve spoken a lot about it and worked really hard to try and achieve it, so it’s nice to see the players do well and have a smile on the face when they’re there batting at the end of the game, having chased in the last two games and won.”

Por conta dos shows do cantor Michael Bublé, marcados para os dias 5 e 6, a montagem das estruturas do palco terão início no sábado e tudo tem de ser entregue até o dia 3 (quinta-feira). Assim, isso tomará parte do setor Gol Norte, que sofrerá uma adaptação ao setor Central Leste. A capacidade do estádio foi reduzida em até 25%, segundo o clube.

A expectativa de público é de cerca de pouco mais de 30 mil torcedores, diferentemente dos 40 mil que tem se tornado rotina na arena.
